CD4 Candidates for NCDP Committees

Nominations needed

NCDP State Convention's Committee on Credentials and Appeals
NCDP Council of Review Committee

 Nominations:

Ryan Jenkins, Durham

I've done work on the Plan of Organization Review Committee, which is the document the Council of Review oversees, I'm a fair and even-handed person who understands the necessities of the job. If a more qualified candidate stands from the floor — i.e., an expert on the Plan of Organization — I may be convinced to stand aside.

NCDP Resolutions and Platform Committee

 Nominations:

Ryan Jenkins, Durham

I have served on the Resolutions and Platform Committee for years at the state level, and I chair the RPC for both the 4th Congressional District and Durham County. I would cherish the opportunity to continue to guide our resolutions through to the state level and finally be able to advocate for the resolutions the 4th Congressional District votes to advance. My experience at the state level and the relationships I have built over the past several years make me extremely effective at the work of the committee.

NCDP Plan of Organization Review Committee

 Nominations:

Sander Pomper, Durham

I would like to get more involved with the party, love details, not wordsmithing, and believe that this committee can have a direct impact on the success of our party.

The power to amend NCDP's Plan of Organization is an essential component of an effective organization. The members of the PoO Committee should represent NC's population as a whole, including different backgrounds and life experiences. As a scholar of political science, a former Congressional staffer and a 39-year-old working mother of three, I offer valuable knowledge and life experiences that will help NCDP ensure its governing document reflects an ever-evolving population. I look forward to working with the PoO Review Committee members to reflect that NCDP is an organization that works for and represents all North Carolinians.

I am interested in how best to organize Democrats for the long term and want to see a persistent organization remain in place between election cycles.
